Metro Trilogy

Paris Metro, Athens Metro, London Tube

Exhibition by Anastasia Zoi Souliotou

30 May – 30 June 2013

Opening :  Thursday 30 May at 19:30

The Fondation Hellénique (Hellenic Foundation) is pleased to announce Anastasia Zoi Souliotou’s first painting exhibition in Paris. Anastasia is a visual artist and currently a resident in the Fondation Hellénique. She lives and works between Athens and Paris.

The artist will present new paintings inspired by metro stations in London, Paris and Athens. For Anastasia Zoi the metro reflects the city identity. Being the city ‘stage’ and the ‘platform’ of the urban life system, it is presented as an integral part of everyday life and a principal globalization symbol.

There will also be an ‘exhibition within the exhibition’ with the artist’s drawings inspired by the Fondation Hellénique façade, as well as by Derek Stanyer’s music.
